Autism - Neurodivergent

We are traveling through this life in search of the same things our Neurotypical fellow humans are looking for. We have the similar destinations in sight... We just get there by differing routes, utilizing our different strengths and with a little support and a lot of love from our friends.

Autism makes life both more challenging and more rewarding in unexpected ways. The idea that Autism goes away or we "grow out of it" is simply untrue. Autism has been part of the human story for many years. We are not striving for a fix or a cure. We long to be accepted and celebrated.

Unfortunately, many resources are geared toward children and though that is needed those resources disappear after elementary school... This needs to change! With YOUR help, WE can BE the change!

Your donations will help our young autistic adult community.

Our vision is that the Bilbo Bash Foundation will grow to fill this need. This path will allow us to create one or more tiny home villages where our young adults can have a home of their own surrounded by the supports to help them successfully navigate the transition into adulthood.

Mission Statement

At Bilbo Bash, our mission is to empower and uplift autistic young adults by addressing the critical gap in resources, services, and support that too often emerges after childhood. We are committed to building a future where autistic individuals can thrive, live with dignity, and access the opportunities they deserve.

In the short term, we allocate funds to carefully chosen non-profits and, when possible, partner organizations — including LLCs and community initiatives — that share our dedication to supporting the young adult autistic community. While we recognize the abundance of programs for children, we focus intentionally on young adults, challenging the misconception that autistic individuals “grow out” of their needs after childhood.

Our long-term vision is to become a self-sustaining foundation capable of funding our own initiatives, including the development of innovative, supportive housing. Our goal is to create several self-sustaining villages where autistic young adults, who may not be ready for full independence, can live, grow, and contribute within safe, nurturing communities designed specifically for their needs.

Through every stage of this journey, we are guided by the belief that every autistic individual deserves lifelong support, opportunity, and respect.
